The Oppo Reno 16 Pro (model number CPH2863) has now been spotted on India’s BIS certification platform and Indonesia’s TKDN database. The listing of this model on the official certification sites of both countries clearly indicates that the phone is going to be launched in India and Indonesia very soon.
The BIS listing clearly mentions the model number CPH2863. Similarly, the TKDN certification has shown support for 5G connectivity and multiple network bands. Such certifications usually happen very close to the official launch. Therefore, experts believe that the Reno 16 Pro could arrive in India and Indonesia between July and August, shortly after the China launch.
China Launch and Global Plans
Oppo has already started pre-orders for the Reno 16 series in China. The brand itself has confirmed that the series will launch in China by the end of May. The global version of the Reno 16 Pro (which will come to India) is most likely to launch between July-August 2026. Oppo has not officially confirmed the global launch timeline yet.
Expected Specifications
According to some rumors, the Reno 16 Pro will have a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display. The MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset may be used as the processor in the Pro model and the Dimensity 8500 in the base model. Leaks suggest that the phone could feature a 200MP primary camera along with an additional 50MP secondary sensor. The battery size may be around 7000 mAh, with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging support.
The design is expected to have a metal frame, IP68/IP69 rating, and a premium finish. RAM and storage options can go from 12GB/16GB and 256GB to 1TB.
Launch Timeline and Price Expectations
Following its initial debut in China, the global rollout (including India) is expected around the July-August timeframe. When launched in India, the price is likely to start at ₹69,990 (although there is no official information yet).
The Reno 16 Pro is expected to come with several significant upgrades over the Reno 15 Pro. Reports indicate that the Reno 16 Pro could bring improvements in camera hardware, battery capacity and overall flagship-level features compared to the previous generation.
