The OnePlus Nord CE series has always offered good value in the mid-range segment. The Nord CE 6, launched on May 7, 2026, is the latest model in that lineup. For those who want long battery life, solid build quality, and smooth daily use but don’t want to pay flagship-level prices – this phone can be a very smart choice. However, whether it truly justifies the price will depend on real-world usage over time.

Design and Build Quality

The Nord CE 6 measures 162.5 x 77.5 x 8.5 mm and weighs 215 grams. Despite the plastic frame and back, the finishing feels premium – the matte finish does not slip in the hand and is also less likely to show fingerprints. There are three color options: Fresh Blue, Lunar Pearl, and Pitch Black. Most importantly, it is IP68/IP69K dust and water resistant, meaning the phone is well protected against dust, rain, and water exposure.

You will find MIL-STD-810H military grade certification on the build, which can easily handle heavy impacts. If we follow the tech trend a little, it is clear that now we are seeing this build level in almost all mid-range phones, which is a very good thing. We have seen in previous OnePlus Nord models that this kind of durability is very useful in long-term use, especially for users who are rough on their phones.

Processor and Performance

OnePlus Nord CE 6 Performance

The phone has a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 (4nm) chipset as the processor along with 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage (128/256 GB). It provides very smooth performance in daily tasks, multitasking, and light gaming. BGMI or COD runs at 90 FPS+ easily. It has a separate Touch Reflex chip that increases the phone’s touch centering rate several times. As a result, you will see a 3200Hz instant touch sampling rate in it. This reduces the load on the main chipset while typing, scrolling reels or gaming and the response time becomes much less, which makes the phone feel much faster.

It also has a vapor chamber cooling system that provides better heating control. During long gaming sessions, the back panel does get slightly warm. Looking at the optimization of OxygenOS on previous OnePlus phones, I can say that this chipset combined with the software is powerful enough for daily users. The overall Antutu score of the device is more than 1.1m.

Display

OnePlus Nord CE 6 Display

The device has a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of 3600 nits and 3840 Hz PWM dimming. The screen looks very crisp and vibrant in sunlight. Colors pop out when watching HDR content and the eye comfort feature prevents eye strain even during long-time reading. This display gives a much more premium feel than the previous Nord CE model.

Battery and Charging

The battery is an 8000 mAh silicon-carbon battery + 80W fast charging (charger comes in the box) support and reverse charging option is also provided. The phone can last 1 day with heavy usage, but if you are a light user, it can definitely give you more than 1.5 days of backup. In this regard, the phone is really far ahead of the previous model, which can be called a clear upgrade.

Software, Connectivity and Others

Out of the box, the device will get OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. The interface is clean, fluid and has many AI features (Eraser, Reflection remover, etc.). But you only get 2 years of OS updates + 4 years of security updates. The phone lags behind here, because nowadays we are getting a minimum 3+4 update policy in other brands of phones in this price range.

There is a stereo speaker setup that provides clear and loud sound, although a single speaker was seen in the Nord CE 5. You will get a good experience while watching videos or listening to music. It has noise cancellation support that will help in normal calling or providing better sound quality. The improvement here is noticeable compared to the previous model.

Connectivity includes 5G support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C port, in-display fingerprint and IR blaster. Overall, the phone includes most latest connectivity features expected in this segment. Unfortunately it does not get e-SIM support.

Camera

The rear setup has a 50 MP main sensor (OIS + EIS) + 2 MP depth sensor. The front has a 32 MP selfie camera. In daylight, detail and color accuracy are decent. In low light, noise increases a little and the dynamic range is a little low. But this time, OnePlus has removed the ultrawide sensor in the camera list, which has become a big minus point. Not only this, but also problems have been seen in edge detection in portrait shots, which can be called a big problem in a phone of this price.

Selfies, of course, look sharp and natural. 4K@30fps video can be recorded on both sides. The camera processing usually keeps it natural but it lags behind in many places. The camera can be called below average in this budget.

Real upgrade or downgrade?

The biggest upgrades in the Nord CE 6 are the battery capacity, display quality, and durability. But the removal of the ultrawide camera and the reduction in software update support are a clear downgrade. The processor performance is also less powerful than the Nord CE 5. Overall, it is a decent option for those who want a long battery and a robust phone, but a downgrade for camera or performance-heavy users.

Price in India

The OnePlus Nord CE 6 starts at ₹29,999 (8GB + 128GB) and the 8GB + 256GB variant costs ₹32,999. Sometimes, there are some discounts available in bank offers, which can reduce the effective price even further. If you want long-term use and the camera is a secondary priority, then you can consider it. Buy on Amazon (Affiliate Link)
