Vivo launched the T5 Pro 5G in India today (April 15, 2026). This phone comes in the mid-range segment, but it brings several things in terms of battery and display that are usually very rare at this price. After the launch, many are talking about its large battery and smooth display. But the question is, how reasonable is it at this price?
Display and Design
The phone has a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel. It has a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 5000 nits. In terms of design, the phone is slightly heavy but relatively slim. It weighs about 210g and is 8.25mm thick. It will be available in two colors – Glacier Blue and Cosmic Black. The finish on the back is matte and looks premium. There is an IP68/IP69 rating, which protects the phone from dust and water.
Performance and Battery
It uses Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 as a processor. It is made on a 4nm process, so it works well in both performance and battery efficiency. Its Antutu score is 1.1M+ and it has LPDDR4X and UFS 3.1 which helps in smoothing the performance. It has support for up to 120FPS and along with it 4D vibration which will help in boosting the gaming experience.
Among the most highlighted features of the phone is the 9020mAh battery with 90W fast charging. It also has the option of bypass charging and reverse charging. According to the company, it will take 37 minutes to charge the phone from one to fifty percent. Keep in mind that it comes with a large battery, so the charging time is a little longer. However, the power backup will be available for a long time.
Camera
A 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS can be seen on the back, but Vivo has added a 2MP depth sensor as the secondary camera here. A two-megapixel camera in this price range holds the phone back a bit. A 32MP selfie camera has been given on the front. Vivo has added AI features to this phone, which will help improve the color and details of the picture.
Software and other features
The phone will run Android 16 out of the box and will come with OriginOS 6. Vivo has promised 3 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates. Apart from this, 7000 mm² VC cooling, dual speakers, in-display fingerprint sensor are all there.
Launch price and offers

The launch price of Vivo T5 Pro 5G starts from ₹29,999 (8GB + 128GB). Apart from this, two more options will be seen in it such as:
8GB + 256GB variant ₹33,999
12GB + 256GB variant ₹39,999
There will be bank offers and exchange bonuses on the first day of launch, so the actual price will be lower for many. The sale will start from 21 April – available on Flipkart, Vivo India website and offline stores.
Comparison with previous models of the A series
Compared to the T4 series, the battery size of the T5 Pro has become much larger, the display is smoother and the charging speed has also improved. But when it comes to the processor, the performance of this phone is a little lower than the previous phone. That is why many people are supporting the T4 Pro.
In Conclusion
The Vivo T5 Pro 5G looks like it is a decent option for users who want a large battery and a smooth display. Starting at ₹29,999, getting a 9020mAh battery at this price is really attractive. However, some doubts remain regarding camera performance and long-term software support.
