Oppo has officially announced that the Reno 16 series will launch in China on May 25, 2026.
Leaks suggest the Reno 16 Pro will feature the Dimensity 9500s chipset, a massive 7000mAh battery, and 50W wireless charging.
The Pro model is expected to sport a 200MP main camera along with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens for premium photography.
The Oppo Reno 16 series is coming to the Chinese market very soon. The company has already announced the launch date in China and preparations for its global launch have also started. It is said that there will be two models in this series, Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro. The Reno 16 Pro model has already received BIS certification in India and TKDN certification in Indonesia, which is a strong indication of a global (India also) launch.

China Launch and Global Timeline
The Oppo Reno 16 series will be launched in China on 25 May 2026. Pre-reservations have also already started. The launch date in India has not been officially announced yet, but it is expected to come in July-August 2026.
Expected Specifications
The Reno 16 Pro is expected to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display. It will have a 120Hz refresh rate and slim bezels. The phone may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, which is capable of delivering flagship-level performance. It will have IP68/IP69 rating and Android 16-based ColorOS.
According to the leak, it will have a 7000 mAh battery and will also support 80W wired + 50W wireless charging. This is a big upgrade over the Reno 15 Pro. The camera setup is said to have a 200-megapixel main sensor. It may also have a 50-megapixel ultrawide and 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. If accurate, this would be a major upgrade over the previous generation.
Price Expectation
The Reno 16 Pro is reported to be priced around CNY 4,000 (roughly ₹56,000) in China. Based on current pricing expectations when launched in India, the price is likely to start at ₹65,000.
The Oppo Reno 16 series seems to strengthen its position in the mid-premium segment with a bigger battery, stronger camera, and premium features. However, the exact specs and price will be known only after the launch.
