A new leak suggests that OnePlus and iQOO could be among the first brands to use Qualcomm’s upcoming 2nm flagship chipset. Famous Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station (known as DCS) wrote that the next-generation flagship phones of OnePlus and iQOO will get Qualcomm’s first 2nm chipset. Not only that, he said that he has already found the “engineering machine solution” for this chip.
DCS also wrote that this “sub-system” has only touched the engineering samples of the 2nm chips of iQOO and OnePlus. Both brands appear to be actively testing this new technology. Both are under BBK Electronics, so tech sharing between them is natural. But it is quite interesting that the testing of 2nm chips has started so soon.
2nm Process Explained

Now what does 2nm mean? Simply put – Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro (model SM8975) chip will be manufactured on TSMC’s 2nm process. Compared to the current 3nm chip, it will provide 10-15% more performance at the same power, or 25-30% less power consumption for the same performance. This means that the phone will heat up less, get more battery backup and on-device AI tasks will be smoother. In addition, the Pro version will have LPDDR6 RAM support, which will greatly increase memory bandwidth.
Snapdragon 2nm Chipset first Devices
Various reports say that this chip can be used in both OnePlus 16 and iQOO 16 Upcoming phones. This is Qualcomm’s first 2nm flagship chipset, and TSMC started volume production of this process late last year. Many say that this will allow Android phones to compete directly with Apple’s upcoming 2nm chip.
However, everything is still at the leak level. No official announcement has been made. The launch is likely in the second half of 2026, initially in China. Both OnePlus and iQOO make performance-focused phones, so this chip could be a perfect fit for them. However, the cost of the 2nm process is expected to increase the price of the phone.
