Noise has taken a significant gamble this time around. With their new MasterBuds 2, they have joined forces with Bose. With the “Sound by Bose” branding proudly displayed, many are hoping to find a pair of earbuds, priced under ₹8,000 – that delivers a truly premium feel. Since their launch, these earbuds have been the subject of considerable buzz. But the burning question remains: at this price point, is the Bose tuning truly effective, or is it merely a marketing gimmick?

Sound Quality & Bose Tuning

The Noise MasterBuds 2’s biggest selling point is its “Sound by Bose” pedigree. Tuned in collaboration with Bose. The bass is sufficiently punchy, yet never feels overly heavy. The mids are well-articulated, and the highs remain relatively clear.

For most listeners, particularly those who enjoy Bollywood, English Pop, or Indie music – the sound balance will feel just right. However, avid bass enthusiasts might find it slightly lacking. The earbuds also feature Spatial Audio, which works quite effectively when watching Netflix or certain movies.

ANC Performance

The device boasts a claimed 51dB of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). For earbuds in this price range, 51dB ANC is a truly remarkable feat. In real-world usage, it significantly dampens ambient noise from sources like metro trains, buses, or office fans. However, one should not expect absolute, total silence.

It effectively blocks out low-frequency noise (such as air conditioners or engine hums). Yet, higher-frequency sounds – like human conversation or keyboard typing are not completely eliminated. The Transparency Mode is also quite functional.

Battery Life & Charging

The company claims a total playback time of 60 hours (including the charging case). Users have reported achieving approximately 36–40 hours of usage with ANC enabled. A single charge yields 8–9 hours of playback, which is quite impressive for this price point. The charging case supports USB-C connectivity and features fast charging capabilities; a mere 10-minute charge provides roughly 4–5 hours of backup.

Design, Fit & Other Features

The earbuds are lightweight and ergonomically designed. Three different sizes of ear tips are included, ensuring a good fit for most people’s ears. With an IP55 rating, they can be safely used at the gym or in light rain. Bluetooth 5.3, LHDC Hi-Res Audio Codec, AI Voice Assistance, and Touch Controls – it has it all. The companion app offers options for an equalizer, ANC level adjustment, and firmware updates.

Price & Current Offers

Noise MasterBuds 2 price

The launch price for the Noise MasterBuds 2 has been set at ₹7,999. This serves as the introductory price on Flipkart. Bank offers are currently active, users can avail of instant discounts ranging from ₹1,000 to ₹1,700 on Axis, SBI, and HDFC credit cards. A ‘No Cost EMI’ option is also available. However, please note that this is the introductory launch price, which may be subject to change in the future.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Thanks to Bose tuning, the sound is well-balanced and offers a premium feel.
  • The 51dB ANC is exceptionally powerful for this price segment.
  • Good battery life.
  • Supports Spatial Audio and Hi-Res LHDC codecs.
  • Comfortable fit and IP55 rating.

Cons:

  • The ANC cannot completely block out very high-frequency noises.
  • The charging case is slightly bulky and feels somewhat plasticky.
  • The companion app is still relatively basic.
  • Call quality is good, though not the absolute best.

In Conclusion

The Noise MasterBuds 2 is truly a strong contender in this price range. If your budget falls between ₹8,000 and ₹9,000, and you are looking for excellent sound quality combined with powerful ANC, this is definitely an option worth considering. However, if you prioritize even better ANC performance or superior call quality, you might want to increase your budget slightly and explore other available options.
