Vivo S60 series officially teased in China, flaunting a new premium design with a horizontal camera module.
Expected to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, a 200MP main camera, and a massive 7000mAh battery.
Historically, Vivo’s S-series launches globally as the V-series, suggesting this could arrive in India as the Vivo V80.

Vivo’s upcoming S60 series has started generating buzz in China after the first official teaser appeared on Weibo. Yesterday, the company’s product manager Han Boxiao himself shared the first official teaser of the S60 series on Weibo. Looking at the design, it seems that the change has really happened – a sea blue-white gradient, sparkling finish and a metal frame with an iPhone-style horizontal camera island. It’s not just the look, but the news is that the camera and battery are being improved in this S60 series.
Earlier, the Vivo S50 series was launched in China last December. It received a good response with its Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, good camera setup and premium build. Both the standard model and the Pro Mini variant of the S50 series were quite popular at that time. Now the S60 series is coming after just six months – which is quite fast for a series update from Vivo.
A few days ago, Vivo gave a major update to its camera-flagship series (such as the X300 FE and X300 Ultra). This series is generally positioned as a style-focused, camera-centric lineup.
What is known so far – Vivo S60 Specs
According to the teaser, the S60 will have an aluminum frame, a horizontal layout of the rear camera module, with a large island. The display will be a 6.59-inch 1.5K flat AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The processor is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (which was also in the S50). The 8s Gen 3 remains a strong upper mid-range chipset for gaming and daily performance. This device will also feature a combination of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for flagship-level speed.
The biggest highlight of the S60 is the camera – here the main sensor is 200MP (with OIS), along with a 50MP telephoto (3x optical zoom) and an ultrawide. A 50MP selfie shooter can be found on the front. Vivo’s camera tuning is usually good, so this setup is expected to give good results.
The phone is also rumored to pack a 7000mAh battery with 90W fast charging. Apart from this, IP68/IP69 rating, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers can be seen.
Vivo S60 China launch timeline
The official teaser has started, so the launch in China is very soon – probably by late May or June 2026. However, the exact date has not been announced yet
If you look at Vivo’s pattern, when the S series is launched in China, it usually comes as V series in Global/India. For example, the S50 series was launched in China and then came to India as the V70 series. So the S60 series could also possibly come to India as the Vivo V80. But that’s still just a guess – it usually appears in global markets (including India) within a few months of its China launch.
