Realme is getting ready to shake up the mid-range segment again. The company has started teasing the Realme 16 5G, and early information suggests it could be one of the more interesting phones coming this year. What immediately catches attention is the unique rear selfie mirror built into the camera module – something we haven’t seen much in this price range.
The phone is expected to launch in India very soon. It’s launch most likely within the next couple of weeks. Realme has already put up a dedicated page on Flipkart where users can sign up for notifications, which usually means the launch is just around the corner.
Realme 16 5G Specifications (Not Official)

One of the biggest highlights so far is the 7000mAh battery. Realme has managed to fit this massive cell into a relatively slim body of just 8.1mm thickness. That’s impressive engineering. Combined with 60W fast charging, the phone should easily last a day and a half for most users, even with heavy social media use or video streaming. In a segment where battery anxiety is still common, this feels like a genuine step forward.
The display is another area where Realme seems to be pushing harder. It’s expected to feature a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness going up to 4500 nits. If these numbers hold up, the screen should look sharp, vibrant, and smooth for daily scrolling, gaming, and outdoor use.
On the camera side, the standout feature is the rear selfie mirror. It’s not just for show – it actually helps when taking group shots or selfies using the main camera. The rear setup includes a 50MP main sensor, and the front camera is also listed at 50MP. While we don’t have full sample images yet, the combination looks promising for everyday photography.
Under the hood, the Realme 16 5G is rumoured to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset. It should handle daily tasks, multitasking, and light gaming without much trouble. The phone will ship with Android 16 and Realme’s latest UI on top.
Expected Price & Availability

Exact pricing hasn’t been revealed yet, but leaks point to a starting price between ₹18,000 and ₹22,000. At this range, it will compete directly with phones like the Redmi 15 series, Poco M series, and some Moto G models. Flipkart is expected to be the main sales platform with usual bank offers and exchange deals on launch day.
Realme has been focusing a lot on design and battery life with this model. The horizontal camera bar gives it a clean, modern look, and the multiple colour options (including some vibrant ones) should appeal to younger buyers.
We still need to wait for the official launch to know the complete specifications, final pricing, and real-world performance. If Realme gets the pricing right then this could easily become one of the most talked-about phones in its segment.
