For those who were waiting for Vivo’s X series Fan Edition, a big leak has come to the fore. The X300 FE model is going to be launched in India very soon, and before that, some major specs including pricing have been leaked. It looks like Vivo is trying to offer a complete flagship-level package in a compact size.

According to the leak, this phone will be small in size but powerful. It has a 6.31-inch flat 1.5K OLED display, which has a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is said to support LTPO technology, which is expected to give good results in both brightness and battery saving. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 has been used as the processor – it is made on a 3 nanometer process, which is quite advanced in performance, gaming and AI work. Along with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, multitasking, app loading will be very smooth.
The phone is expected to pack a 6,500mAh battery and has 90W wired and 40W wireless charging support. It has an IP68/IP69 rating, so it will protect against damage from dust or water. It weighs about 190 grams and has a thickness of 8.2mm.
On the other hand, the phone has three sensors on the back – 50MP Sony IMX921 main camera (with OIS), 8MP ultrawide and 50MP IMX882 telephoto lens (3x optical zoom). With ZEISS branding, the image quality and color science are more likely to be good. There is a 50MP front camera on the front, which will do a good job for selfies and video calls.
This phone is actually positioning itself a little differently from the regular X300. The regular model had a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip, and here it is Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. The battery size has also been increased, which is quite beneficial for a compact phone.

Tech leaker Sanju Choudhary post on X (formerly Twitter) reveals that the box MRP of the Vivo X300 FE (12GB/256GB) variant has been kept at ₹1,19,999. But the actual selling price at the time of launch could be much lower – it is expected to be around ₹79,999.

This price may be a bit high due to the memory price hike. The regular X300 was launched last year, its stock is still there and is available in many places for 60-65 thousand. So if the FE model is really priced around ₹80K, then there may be some confusion among the buyers.
However, this leak is not official yet. Vivo can change the specs or price at any time. However, from what has come out, it seems that the X300 FE can be a good option as a compact flagship. The launch will probably be in the first week of May.
