Ai+ has finally entered the flip phone market in India with its first device, the Nova Flip 5G. It’s now listed on Flipkart with an effective price of ₹29,999. This makes it one of the first budget clamshell flip phones in India.
Until now, flip phones were usually priced above ₹50,000. Ai+ has now crossed the boundary of that concept. Nova Flip 5G looks slim and modern. When you hold it in your hand, it does not feel like it is a budget phone. But the price of the phone is worth it?
Ai+ Nova Flip 5G Specifications

Ai+ Nova Flip 5G has a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED foldable inner display that supports 120Hz refresh rate. There is a 3.1-inch AMOLED cover display on the outside. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X. It’s a 4nm chip with around 700K AnTuTu score – decent for daily use. It has been launched in a variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Moving to the camera, the setup is quite simple – 50MP main + 2MP secondary on the rear and 32MP on the front. The 4325mAh battery might be a concern, especially for a Flip device. Honestly, battery could be a weak point here. Also, it is support a 33W fast charging.
On the software side, it comes with Android 15 based nxtQ OS, which emphasizes privacy and a clean user interface. But this Android version is a bit old at the moment and the company hasn’t said anything about the update policy yet. The phone is 7.2mm thick and weighs only 193 grams. This will make it convenient to use with one hand. The phone will only be available in the Glacier White color option, which looks quite clean and premium.
Ai+ Nova 2 5G and Nova 2 Ultra 5G Launch

Along with the Nova Flip 5G, Ai+ also launched two more phones – Ai+ Nova 2 5G and Ai+ Nova 2 Ultra 5G. These two models of the Nova 2 series have also become quite popular. The price of Nova 2 Ultra starts at around ₹14,999. It has a Dimensity 7400 processor, FHD+ AMOLED 120Hz display, 50MP main camera with OIS support. And the sale of this phone will start on April 17.
Similarly, Nova 2 5G starts at ₹8,999. This phone has a Unisoc T8200 chipset, 6000mAh battery and 120Hz display. Its sale starts on April 14.
The sale of Nova Flip 5G has started today. However, no stock of it is available yet. It is expected that people will be able to order it in a few days. There may still be some weak points in the phone such as battery, software, camera, etc. On paper, it looks promising – but real-world performance will matter.
