On April 1st, Oppo held a big launch event in China. Both the K15 Pro and K15 Pro+ phones have been officially launched. This could be quite interesting news for those who were looking for a big battery and some different features in the world of gaming phones.
Bold Design with Magic LED Back Panel
The most striking thing is the Active Matrix LED panel on the back. It will not only light up and show notifications, it will also play animations when a call comes in, show special effects while playing games, and even allow you to run custom emojis or pixel art. Oppo has introduced it as the “Magic Back Panel”. And because of this, it looks a little unique in terms of looks. This time the design looks much bolder and more modern than the previous K series.
What are the specifications
There are some significant differences between the two models. Oppo K15 Pro features a 6.59-inch 1.5K LTPS OLED display that supports 144Hz refresh rate. The MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Super chipset is used as the processor. The camera has a 50MP OIS main sensor with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 16MP selfie shooter on the front. The battery is 7500mAh and 80W fast charging support is provided. The most interesting thing is that it has an active cooling fan that has got an IPX9 rating. The phone is IP69 rated, comes with a metal frame and weighs around 200-203 grams.
Oppo K15 Pro+ is a little bigger and more powerful than the other version. It has a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPS OLED display that supports up to 165Hz refresh rate. The device has a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s 5G processor to run it. The camera setup is the same (50MP OIS main + 8MP ultrawide, 16MP front). But the battery is bigger – 8000mAh and 100W fast charging. The cooling system is also bigger (7000mm² VC cooling) and there is an active cooling fan. There is also a gaming shoulder button.
Both phones will run ColorOS 16 (based on Android 16) and also have wireless charging support.

Price in China
After the launch in China, the prices of the two phones have come to the fore. The base variant of Oppo K15 Pro (12GB + 256GB) starts at around ₹40,500 (¥2,999). The price for the higher storage option goes up to ¥3,499 (~Rs. 47,500). Similarly, K15 Pro+ is a bit more premium, so the price of 12GB + 256GB variant is around ₹40,500, and the highest 12GB + 512GB variant is ¥4,199, which is around ₹56,999.
The price and specification of these two mobiles launched above have been mismatched somewhere. But this is for many reasons. Now the prices of all smartphones are increasing, the prices of the old phones have also been seen increasing. And for this reason, it can be assumed that this can be a decent mobile phone at this price point. The mobile has now been launched in China, but there is no news of its launch in India yet.
