OPPO Find X9 Ultra Spotted on BIS Certification: India Launch Confirmed!

There was a big update about the OPPO Find X9 Ultra. Tech leaker @encoword shared a screenshot on his X account, which clearly shows that the model number CPH2841 has received India’s BIS certification. Seeing this listing, many are saying that the phone is almost ready for launch in India.

Earlier, we had said in one of our posts that the first look of OPPO Find X9 Ultra has been released and it may be launched in India in April (See here: Oppo Find X9 Ultra First Look Out: Snapdragon 8 Elite, 7050mAh Battery – India Launch in April). After that news, now getting BIS approval has further confirmed that Indian users are going to get their hands on this flagship soon.

Why This BIS Certification Important?

To sell a smartphone in India, a BIS certificate is required. It is proof of passing safety, quality and standard tests. The CPH2841 model was certified yesterday, which is shown with the name of OPPO’s Chinese manufacturer. Earlier, OPPO itself announced that the Find X9 Ultra will be the first to come to the global market (including India) outside of China. So this BIS listing is a big hint for many.

Expected Launch Timeline

According to the leak, the Find X9 Ultra may be launched globally in mid-April 2026. However, it is more likely to come to India a little later, in early or mid-May. OPPO has not yet announced an official date, but after receiving BIS approval, the launch preparations are expected to be completed quickly.

OPPO Find X9 Ultra Specifications

Many see the Find X9 Ultra as a camera phone. According to the leak, it will have a 6.82-inch large 2K LTPO AMOLED display, which comes with a 144Hz refresh rate. The processor will be Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which is one of the most powerful chips today.

The camera setup is: 200MP main sensor, 200MP 3x periscope telephoto, 50MP ultrawide and another telephoto sensor with Hasselblad tuning. It is also rumored to have a 7050mAh large battery, 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. RAM can be up to 16GB and storage can be 512GB/1TB options.

All in all, it seems to give strong competition to the premium segment with camera, performance and battery. However, everything is still based on leaks and rumors, full details will be known after the official launch. And if you take a close look at its specifications, you will see that it will compete well with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
