Today, March 27, 2026, Tecno officially launched its new Tecno Spark 50 5G in India. It can be a practical option for those looking for a long battery life, solid build and general everyday 5G phone in the budget segment.
Tecno has mainly emphasized three things – a large battery, fast charging and military standard durability. Not all the details have come out yet, but from what is known, it looks like a big improvement over the previous models in the Spark series.
Design and Build Quality
The back of the phone looks a lot like the Google Pixel series, especially the horizontal camera island which is made of 6-series aluminum. It gives a premium feel that is not usually seen in phones in this price range. There are four attractive color options — Fantasy Purple, Mint Green, Ink Black and Champagne Gold.
The most important thing is that it has MIL-STD 810H military grade certification, which means that the phone will be very safe even if it falls from a height of 1.5 meters. This feature will be really useful for those who use it rough or move around a lot outside.
Battery and Charging
The biggest attraction of this phone is undoubtedly its battery. It has a 6500mAh capacity battery, which is much larger than the 6000mAh of the previous Spark models. It also has 45W fast charging support, which is much faster than the previous 18W charging. It will easily last more than a day with normal use, and it is expected that the battery drain will not be too much even with heavy use. Tecno has focused on this battery with the tagline “Power Ka Tashan”.
Processor and Performance
For performance, it uses MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset. It supports 5G and can handle everything from daily tasks, social media scrolling, light gaming, or watching videos – all smoothly. Another good thing is 4×4 MIMO connectivity, due to which the network signal will be very stable and the download speed will also be quite good. However, it should be remembered that this is not the best choice for high-end gaming. But if you want a simple 5G phone within the budget, then it can be a decent option.
Display and Camera
A 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel has been given as the display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate. The experience can be quite smooth while watching videos or scrolling for a long time. The camera setup includes a 50MP main rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Since the rear camera module is in Pixel style, many people have high hopes for the image quality. Price and Availability in India
The base variant of Tecno Spark 50 5G (4GB RAM + 128GB) has been launched at ₹16,999. And the top model (6GB RAM + 128GB) has been launched at ₹18,999. However, you can get an additional discount through bank cards while buying. Now it will be available on Flipkart and Amazon. However, its sale will start after April 3.
