Xiaomi recently released its next beta UI, HyperOS 3.3, for testing in China. This is going to be a new version with many new features and a smoother user experience. Let’s quickly find out what to expect in this new version and when it will be available. But the most interesting question is which devices will receive this update, and we’ll discuss that too.

Xiaomi HyperOS 3.3 Features

First, let’s talk about the features of this new version. Many new features are expected. First, there’s the optimization aspect. It is said that Xiaomi’s default apps, such as Settings, Gallery, Weather, and Security, are being made much lighter. This will result in faster app performance, minimal lag, smoother animations, and most importantly, improved battery life.

Xiaomi SuperIsland

One of Xiaomi’s most popular features, Super Island, has been made even more useful, which will increase its usage. Document progress, such as file copying and processing, will be displayed more clearly, which wasn’t the case before. Metro cards or office gate pass cards can now be used by swiping even when the screen is locked. Overall, the Super Island features have been enhanced.

Super Xiao Ai (AI Assistant)

The Super Xiao Ai (AI Assistant) is being updated. To use it, you simply need to press and hold the power button for a short time. Once activated, your entire smartphone will work based on your voice commands. It’s similar to Google’s voice assistant, but even easier and more advanced.

Camera – Pro Video

This feature could be a game-changer for camera users. With this new update, you can download Rec.709 LUT files from Mi-LOG. This file is essentially a raw video file, which means the quality and color grading are not degraded. This helps in creating natural and professional video edits.

UI & Usability Improvements

Regarding other features, a new screen lock design will be available. Not only that, it will also include a new wallpaper theme and an app drawer option. The font size can be increased, and icons can be customized, allowing users to adjust their size. Users will no longer have to manually configure settings to transfer phone data to a new phone, as was previously required.

iPhone to Xiaomi Call Sync

This is a new feature where you can transfer calls from an iPhone to a Xiaomi device, or vice versa. To improve performance, background apps will be given fewer resources, reducing lag and resulting in faster performance.

Security & Privacy

Significant work is also being done in privacy. This will be evident in this new update. For example, NFC anti-fraud will detect fake NFC attacks and block the card. An AI-based algorithm will automatically select the correct card if you accidentally select the wrong one. This will be very helpful to many users. Furthermore, the fingerprint, password, and pattern unlock methods will be smoother and more secure, making smartphones unlock even faster.

Real Opinion

For your information, these are features of the Chinese version; that is, these features will be available in the Chinese version. It is possible that most of these features will not be available in the global market, i.e., in other countries. This has been observed before, which is unfortunately disappointing news.

Note: It’s possible that what we were previously calling HyperOS 3.1 is actually 3.3. It has become available for testing in China. This means some users, especially top beta testers, will be able to experience it. It might later be released as 3.1 in regions like India. However, as mentioned before, the features discussed will likely be less available in countries outside of China, as has happened in the past.

When we expected?

The biggest question now is when this will be available in the global market or in regions like India. Currently, there has been no official announcement. However, it is hoped that it will be available in the global market by the end of January or mid-February. But this is still unofficial and based on expectations.
