Two popular smartphone brands (Xiaomi and Samsung) are launching two huge flagship smartphones, much to the public’s excitement. These two devices are the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. Both devices are set to launch globally in a few days. Their specifications are expected to be quite powerful.
According to popular X user Sanju Choudhary (@saaaanjjjuuu), both devices are expected to boast impressive specifications. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is scheduled to launch globally on February 28, 2026, at the “New Wave of Imagery” event in Barcelona. It is expected to launch in India by March. Meanwhile, the Samsung S26 Ultra is scheduled to launch on February 25th and will go on sale in March.

Display
When it comes to displays, Samsung reigns supreme. Gorilla Armor 2+ anti-reflective coating improves outdoor visibility. This Xiaomi 17 Ultra comes with LTPO panel, which is smooth, but Samsung’s brightness and durability are far superior.
Camera
The Xiaomi main camera features a 50MP, 1-inch sensor (Leica-tuned), which helps deliver better details and dynamic range even in low light. Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has a 200MP main camera (f/1.4 aperture), but its sensor is 1/1.3-inch (not 1-inch), so in low light condition Xiaomi have advantage (better noise reduction + natural bokeh). Xiaomi 17 Ultra has a 200MP periscope with 3.2x–10x continuous optical zoom – long-range shots much clear + detailed। Samsung has a 50MP 5x periscope + 10MP 3x – Good, but 200MP resolution is more sharp. So you can say, Xiaomi wins in zoom quality.
The Xiaomi front-runner in the selfie camera is its 50MP autofocus lens, capable of recording video in up to 4K at 60fps. In comparison, this Samsung device features a 12MP selfie shooter. When it comes to video recording, Samsung’s Galaxy AI and video stabilization are far ahead of Xiaomi’s.
Battery and Charging
The Xiaomi comes with a 6800mAh battery with 90W fast charging support, which should last you all day. According to reports, this phone can charge up to 75% in 30 minutes. Samsung offers a 5000mAh battery option and 60W charging support. In this regard, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra far outperforms the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Performance and Software
The performance of both is expected to be similar, as both share similar Chipset. The Xiaomi will support HyperOS 3. Meanwhile, the Samsung will offer software support for One UI 8.5, which is better than the Xiaomi.
Price (Expected)
