Redmi K90 Max Launch

Redmi is once again bringing the third model of its K90 series for gamers, the Redmi K90 Max. The company’s phone is reportedly making itself a real gaming beast this time. Not just the paper specs, this time an active cooling fan has been integrated into the device – which has not been seen in any Redmi phone yet. The launch in China is very soon, and Xiaomi has announced the official release date today.

Redmi K90 Max Launch Date in China

The launch date has been confirmed 21 April 2026, the phone will be unveiled in China at 7 pm via live streaming. The price has not been officially announced yet, but according to some leaks, it can start around ¥4,000 (about ₹47,000). It comes with Xiaomi Air4 SE earbuds, warranty extension, gaming hand strap for students and several extra packages.

Key Specifications of Redmi K90 Max

The built-in active cooling fan of the K90 Max makes the phone more attractive to gamers. It is made with a large 18.1 mm fan, vertical air intake and vortex air duct design. The company says that it can reduce the temperature of the phone by 10 degrees Celsius in 100 seconds (1.4 minutes). If this is really possible, then it will be quite useful during gaming – there will be less throttling even after playing for a long time.

The display has a 1.5K OLED panel with a 165Hz refresh rate. This is one of the smoothest and most premium display options among gaming phones today. The phone is made quite durable with an aluminum alloy frame, ultra-narrow bezels and IP68 + IP69 ratings.

It is said to have a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset as the processor. There will also be a dual-chip setup, which will make gaming performance more stable. The battery will be 8000mAh-class (some leaks are saying up to 8500mAh) and 100W fast charging support. And not only that, it will have a bypass charging option that will make the device run smoothly without straining the battery.

The camera setup is dual (large camera island on the back), but full details have not been revealed yet. However, since the focus is on gaming, the camera is probably kept secondary. And you will know that Redmi gaming phones are average in terms of cameras.

Expected Price and Global Availability

As I said earlier, the price in China is likely to be between 4,000-4,500 yuan (approximately ₹47,000 to ₹53,000). Many are hoping that the phone will come to the global market. According to some rumors, the global version will probably come under the name Poco F8 Max. This is how previous models of the Redmi K-series (such as K90 Pro Max → Poco F8 Ultra) reached the global market. The global launch will probably be in late 2026 or early 2027. It is usually seen that the global version is a little more expensive than the Chinese version.

On the same day (April 21), OPPO Find X9 Ultra is also being launched in China. Both phones are high-end, but one is gaming focused and the other is a camera flagship. This shows how fierce the competition is in the Chinese market.

The Redmi K90 Max looks like it is not just a phone, but a real tool for gamers. Built-in fan, 165Hz display and large battery – these three things together make the phone very interesting. Only after seeing the real test after the launch, we will fully understand how powerful it will be.
