Recently, Debayan Roy (X-handle @Gadgetsdata) said in a post that the Galaxy S27 Ultra may come with a new horizontal camera deco design. This means that the vertical camera island that was in the previous models may change completely. The most talked about thing is the possibility of dropping the 3x telephoto lens. That is, there may be a total of three cameras on the back. In addition, the new 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP6 main sensor has also been mentioned.

According to leaks, the horizontal camera bar may not be just about design, but also to provide Qi2 magnetic charging support. Trusted leakers like Ice Universe has also shared renders of this design. It is believed that the back of the phone will look more symmetrical and modern. However, it is still only at the concept level, there has been no official confirmation.
The biggest upgrade in the camera department may be in the main sensor. Samsung may use the ISOCELL HP6 200-megapixel sensor this time, which will have LOFIC technology. This technology will be able to provide better dynamic range in single exposure. Some reports mention that the ultrawide and selfie cameras may also get upgrades. However, it is said that the 3x telephoto may be dropped and what the zoom capability will be for this is still unclear. This could be a major strategic shift in Samsung’s camera approach.
In terms of performance, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset may come. In addition, LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.0 storage are also being heard. Regarding the battery size, the leaks are saying that it will be from 5500 to 5800 mAh, which can be more efficient with the help of silicon-carbon technology. This means that there will be a change in battery technology, but even if the capacity remains similar, efficiency is expected to improve significantly. Expected Launch Timeline and Pricing
As per Samsung’s usual routine, the Galaxy S27 series may be launched in January or February 2027. It is not yet certain when it will come to India or the global market. No clear news has come out about the price yet. However, the launch price of the Galaxy S26 Ultra was ₹1,39,999 for the base variant in India. It is estimated that the launch price of the S27 Ultra may be slightly higher than this.
Although nothing has been officially revealed about this phone yet. But if these leaked information is correct, then Samsung’s S-series could reach the top once again.
